Scripture Reading Psalms 127:3, 139: 13-16

Behold, children are a gift of the LORD; the fruit of the womb is a reward. For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works and that my soul knows well.

My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed, and in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them.

Song Lyrics Holy is His Name by John Michael Talbot

My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord And my spirit exalts in God my Savior For He has looked with mercy on my lowliness And my name will be forever exalted For the mighty God has done great things for me And His mercy will reach from age to age

And holy, holy, holy is His name

Let us pray

Heavenly Father, we pray you open our eyes to know that all the things of this world are the work of Your hands. By the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, you prepared a worthy dwelling place for Your Son, who died on the Cross, that we may have life. Through Her intercession, grant us the courage to accept and respect life, especially that of the holy and blameless unborn. Bless us with Your grace, O God, so that we stand firm to preserve and nurture life. and give us strength and nourishment, to help us deal with life’s struggles.

Let Your Holy Spirit watch over and guide us, O God, to keep us from harm and evil, and especially to avoid sin. We ask You this through Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You in unity with the Holy Spirit, world without end. Amen.

Day 2 – Birth

Scripture Reading Psalm 22: 10-12

For you drew me forth from the womb, made me safe at my mother’s breasts. Upon you I was thrust from the womb; since my mother bore me you are my God. Do not stay far from me, for trouble is near, and there is no one to help.

Song Lyrics Close to You by The Carpenters

On the day that you were born the angels got together And decided to create a dream come true So they sprinkled moon dust in your hair of gold and starlight in your eyes of blue

That is why all the girls in town Follow you all around Just like me, they long to be Close to you

Let us pray

Heavenly Father, You sent Your only Son to earth in a womb. You created us in Your image. We praise You for new life, newborns, and growing families. Remind us that each life is significant in Your eyes. Fill our hearts with Your unending love. Help us to find You, daily and teach our kids how to find You, too. Blessed Mother, spread your blue mantle of protection around us.

In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Day 3 — Baptism

Scripture Reading Ezekiel 36:25-27

I will sprinkle clean water over you to make you clean; from all your impurities and from all your idols I will cleanse you. I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put my spirit within you so that you walk in my statutes, observe my ordinances, and keep them.

Song Lyrics Something in the Water by Carrie Underwood

Felt love pouring down from above Got washed in the water, washed in the blood And now I’m changed and now I’m stronger

And now I’m singing along to Amazing Grace Can’t nobody wipe this smile off my face Gonna look ahead, no turning back Live every day, give it all that I have

There must be something in the water Oh, there must be something in the water

Let us pray

Heavenly Father, rain and sun come down upon the Earth and give life to trees of every size and flowers of every color in the rainbow; beauty beyond measure to delight our senses. Cleanse our souls with the same water and let the Holy Spirit shine upon them, so that, renewed and free from sin, we may reflect the radiance of Your love and draw others to the splendor of Your mercy. Amen.

Day 4 – Adolescence

Scripture Reading Ecclesiastes 12:1 NIV, Proverbs 3: 5-6

Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come and the years approach, when you will say, “I find no pleasure in them”—. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Song Lyrics Forever Young by Rod Stewart

May the good Lord be with you, down every road you roam And may sunshine and happiness surround you when you’re far from home And may you grow to be proud, dignified and true And do unto others, As you’d have done to you

Be courageous and be brave, And in my heart you’ll always stay Forever Young, Forever Young

May good fortune be with you, may your guiding light be strong Build a stairway to heaven, with a prince or a vagabond

And may you never love in vain, and in my heart you will remain Forever Young, Forever Young

Let us pray

Heavenly Father, we pray you send Your Holy Spirit down on our youth, to lift them up, and strengthen their resolve to walk in Your Holy ways. Help parents to not provoke their youth, but encourage and in-still faith in them, to remind them to not fear, for the Lord is with them wherever they go. O God, bless our youth and remind them be patient as Your plans for their future unfold. Lighten the burden our youth carry, O God, and help them persevere so they may mature in wisdom and understanding for greater challenges ahead.

Let Your Holy Spirit guide the decisions our youth take, O God, and let them not fall prey to Satan’s evil designs. We ask You this through Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You in unity with the Holy Spirit, world without end. Amen.

Day 5 – Call To Vocation / Service

Scripture Reading Ephesians 4:1-6

I, then, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to live in a manner worthy of the call you have received, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another through love, striving to preserve the unity of the spirit through the bond of peace: one body and one Spirit, as you were also called to the one hope of your call; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.

Song Lyrics Lifesong by Casting Crowns

Lord I give my life A living sacrifice To reach a world in need To be your hands and feet So may the words I say And the things I do Make my lifesong sing Bring a smile to you

Let my lifesong sing to you Let my lifesong sing to you I want to sign your name To the end of this day Knowing that my heart was true Let my lifesong sing to you

Let us pray – EWTN Prayer for Vocations

O Holy Spirit, Spirit of wisdom and divine love, impart Your knowledge, understanding, and counsel to youth that they may know the vocation wherein they can best serve God. Give them courage and strength to follow God’s holy will. Guide their uncertain steps, strengthen their resolutions, shield their chastity, fashion their minds, conquer their hearts, and lead them to the vineyards where they will labor in God’s holy service.

In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Day 6 – Marriage

Scripture Reading Ruth 1:16b-17

Wherever you go I will go, wherever you lodge I will lodge. Your people shall be my people and your God, my God. Where you die, I will die, and there be buried. May the Lord do thus to me, and more, if even death separates me from you!

Moment of Silent Meditation

Song Lyrics I’ll Never Find Another You by The Seekers

There is always someone For each of us, they say. And you’ll be my someone Forever and a day.

It’s a long, long journey So stay by my side. When I walk through the storm You’ll be my guide.

There’s a new world somewhere They call the promised land. And I’ll be there someday If you could hold my hand. I still need you there beside me No matter what I do For I know I’ll never find another you.

Let us pray

Heavenly Father, You guided Mary and Joseph on their perilous journeys into and out of Egypt, as they sought to protect each other and the Child Jesus. Grant all married couples the grace and courage to stay fully committed to one another. May they trust You will be with them through all the good and bad, joy and heartbreak, sunshine and storms, as they travel – together — on the road to Your Kingdom. Amen.

Scripture Reading Sirach 3:2, 12-14

For the Lord honors a father above his children, and he confirms a mother’s right over her children.

My child, help your father in his old age, and do not grieve him as long as he lives, even if his mind fails, be patient with him, because you have all your faculties do not despise him. For kindness to a father will not be forgotten, and will be credited to you against your sins.

Moment of Silent Meditation

Song Lyrics The Living Years by Mike and the Mechanics

Every generation blames the one before And all of their frustrations come beating on your door

I know that I’m a prisoner to all my Father held so dear I know that I’m a hostage to all his hopes and fears I just wish I could have told him in the living years

Crumpled bits of paper, Filled with imperfect thought Stilted conversations, I’m afraid that’s all we’ve got

You say you just don’t see it, He says it’s perfect sense You just can’t get agreement in this present tense We all talk a different language, talking in defense

Say it loud, say it clear, You can listen as well as you hear It’s too late when we die to admit we don’t see eye to eye

Let us pray

Heavenly Father, help us uphold our faith and keep your commandment to ‘Honor your father and your mother’, practice godliness in our own households, and make some return to our parents. Remind us to visit and care for orphans, the sick, and the elderly in their affliction. When we were infants, Lord, you partnered with our parents in loving and caring for us. When they grow elderly and infirm, we pray you will help us give them some of the same tender, loving care. Give us the strength, wisdom, and patience to lovingly attend to their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.

Help us to be generous with our time and material things to support the orphans, sick, and elderly, and share Your love with them. Amen. We ask You this through Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You in unity with the Holy Spirit, world without end. Amen.

Day 8 – Retirement

Scripture Reading Psalm 92:13-15

The just shall flourish like the palm tree, shall grow like a cedar of Lebanon. Planted in the house of the Lord, they shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall bear fruit even in old age, they will stay fresh and green,

Moment of Silent Meditation

Song Lyrics I Hope You Dance by Lee Ann Womack

I hope you never lose your sense of wonder You get your fill to eat but always keep that hunger May you never take one single breath for granted God forbid love ever leave you empty handed I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens Promise me that you’ll give faith a fighting chance And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance

I hope you dance I hope you dance

Let us pray

Heavenly Father, thank You for the seasons of life, for the joy of childhood, the excitement of youth, and the stability of maturity. We give praise to all the blessings that will come from the work of many years. We pray that our retirement years will serve as a renewed opportunity to spread the good news of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. May we stay strong in health and faith while trusting in Your will.

In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Day 9 – Coming Home

Scripture Reading 2 Timothy 4:6-8

I am already being poured out like a libation and the time of my departure is at hand. I have competed well; I have finished the race; I have kept the faith. From now on the crown of righteousness awaits me, which the Lord, the just judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me, but to all who have longed for his appearance.

Moment of Silent Meditation

Song Lyrics I Can Only Imagine by MercyMe

Surrounded by Your glory What will my heart feel? Will I dance for You, Jesus, Or in awe of You be still?

Will I stand in Your presence Or to my knees will I fall? Will I sing hallelujah? Will I be able to speak at all?

I can only imagine I can only imagine

Let us pray

Heavenly Father, we do not know when we will be summoned before You, but we know that hour will come. Our days and nights in this earthly existence are finite, unlike Your infinite love for us. Thank you for the gifts Jesus gave us in the hours before and after His Resurrection — His Body and Blood and his command to the eleven that “Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them and whose sins you retain are retained.” Give us the courage to seek these Sacraments as often as we can and to lead others to them, so we all may be fully ready to meet you when we are called home.

Into the gates of heaven, dear God, receive these ones. Throughout their lives, in sacrifice, their noble courage shown. Final breaths were taken. Your children did their best. Bestow Thy grace, prepare each a place, and give to them due rest. Amen.
